Education - Avenue Primary School

Previous Arrow Next Arrow

The project was developed from initial Client Brief including Planning Application and Approval stages. The original 1970’s school buildings were in very poor condition externally, and required extensive upgrading or replacement of the envelope’s fabric.

Kitchen, Dining, ICT and Group spaces have been remodeled to provide greater capacity and contemporary facilities.

A new 2-storey Teaching Block comprising 8 classrooms with direct access to covered external teaching/play space. It links back to the existing school, and has a new secondary covered staircase giving direct access to the playground.

A new Reception and Hall building provides an impressive, welcoming entrance into the school, with improved reception, waiting and other front of house areas.

The double height Hall provides assembly and activity space, and is served by a PE Store and a kitchen which can be used for functions or events.

Externally, new play, nature garden and activity areas are provided, with security fencing and increased staff car parking.
